Born in Brazil's south, and raised between there and England, Gui has focused on photography and various art forms such as music, design and film from a very young age. This wide ranging media experience has imbued a body of photographic work with a richness and sensitivity that is not only very apparent but is also a key factor in the storytelling aspect of his images.

After having lived in several cities around the world, he has been Tokyo-based for 16 years, where he has expanded his career not only in photography but in many other fields, producing international fashion campaigns, directing music videos and photographic campaigns for major department stores. Amongst many other activities, he also hosts regular art and culinary events.
